Abstract

As part of this session on Impact and Knowledge Exchange (KE) management in Pure we invite panel members to present on their own institutions frameworks for evaluating and evidencing research impact, the main drivers for such evaluations and the extent to which Pure has/has not successfully supported this approach.

Panelists are asked to provide some examples of KE and Impact management at their institutions of which they are most proud, and to outline the greatest unmet challenge they have in supporting the evaluation of the impact of research (sociological or technological).

Topics for consideration include;

* Inputs. What information needs to be collated to support the impact and KE use case (what needs to be captured)
* Outputs. What should be done with collated impact evidence and how should it be used (i.e. showcasing, assessment etc.)
* Process. What are the processes for capturing and evaluating impact and how could a system support them
* Data. What does the data landscape look like for KE and impact. Where is data currently held and what external data sources are available for use.
